Does a parent or guardian have to go with you to get your drivers permit in Ohio. And legal guardian?

I'm attempting to get my permit in Columbus, Ohio and i was wondering if a parent or guardian has to be with you when you get your driving permit at the age of 15 and a half. If it is a guardian does it have to be your legal one.Does a parent or guardian have to go with you to get your drivers permit in Ohio. And legal guardian?
The answer is yes if it's not a parent it has to be LEGAL guardian with guardianship papers in hand.Does a parent or guardian have to go with you to get your drivers permit in Ohio. And legal guardian?
Parent or legal guardian, yes. If you are just living with Grandpa or your best friend's mom, instead of mom and dad, he/she cannot sign for you.
A parent or legal guardian must be present because they have to sign an affidavit of responsibility. Basically they are agreeing to accept responsibility for anything that happens when you're driving.
Check with www.dmv.org for requirements in your State. Just click on the link for Ohio and look around. If there is such a requirement, it will be spelled out explicitly. Good luck!
